• The world we operate in, is on the move. Nothing is the same anymore, something as old as one year may not make it to next year. The once volatile, uncertain, but rather complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world, which has described our world in the last decade, has had its day. It is being replaced by a Brittle, Anxious, Non-linear, Incomprehensible (BANI) world. Thereof the stakes have never been higher. • The rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) with is extension to the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), the increased threat surface for targeted and untargeted attacks. The rise of quantum computers presents a real threat as they will be able to break existing encryption algorithms rendering current cybersecurity measures obsolete. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) took front stage in both side of the cyber arena. More so, ChatGPT took the world by storm of what AI and Deep Machine Learning (DML) could do in the immediate and near future.

• Cybersecurity is not just about technology. It’s also about people awareness. Cybersecurity is constantly evolving and it requires a continuous business mindset and culture evolution with ongoing vigilance and adaptation to new risk and threats. So, let’s stay ahead of the curve.

• In this context, are we prepared to face the consequences of our inaction? What do companies and institutions need to know about cybersecurity trends and vulnerabilities today, to emphasize the expected impact of new technologies and new vulnerabilities on business sectors?
