The personal data collected through the event/congress registration form will be used exclusively for communicating information related to the organization and conduct of the congress, such as:

  • confirmation of registration,
  • sending the event program,
  • updates regarding location, logistics, or last-minute changes,
  • relevant post-event communications.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

The data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR – performance of a contract (event participation) and/or Article 6(1)(f) – the legitimate interest of the organizer to communicate effectively with participants.

4. Types of Data Collected

The collected data may include: first and last name, email address, phone number, institution/organization you represent, and your job title.

5. Data Recipients

Your data will not be shared with third parties, except in cases required by law or when necessary for the proper organization of the event (e.g., IT service providers involved in communication or logistics).

6. Data Retention Period

Data will be stored only for the time necessary to organize the event, and for a maximum period of 365 days after its conclusion, unless otherwise required by law.

7. Your Rights

According to the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • the right to access your data,
  • the right to rectification,
  • the right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”),
  • the right to restrict processing,
  • the right to object,
  • the right to file a complaint with the Romanian Data Protection Authority (ANSPDCP – Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal).
