Cybersecurity Expert, North Macedonia

With over 20+ years of experience in Information Systems Management and Cybersecurity, he has extensive experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and controls related to information security and cybersecurity, including bylaws on risk assessments and trusted vendors. He established and led the National CSIRT in the Republic of North Macedonia (MKD-CIRT) for seven years.

There, he led the establishment of the Cybersecurity Information Exchange Network, which grew to more than 100 active organizations in North Macedonia, as well as the implementation of Incident Response and other CSIRT systems and services. He led MKD-CIRT to become a full member of international organizations FIRST and Trusted Introducer and acted as the Point of Contact (PoC) on Cybersecurity.

He also has experience in developing cybersecurity awareness programs for citizens, including establishing the first open portal for cybersecurity training, through which more than 10,000 civil servants successfully completed training. He managed numerous activities focused on capacity building and cyber exercises for constituents and Critical Infrastructure (CI) operators.

From 2023 to 2025, he served as a Senior Regional Cybersecurity Advisor on DAI Global LLC’s regional Critical Infrastructure Digitalization and Resilience (CIDR) Program. He led the development of the North Macedonia National Cybersecurity Strategy (2025–2028) in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation. He designed and implemented cybersecurity interventions across North Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia, Albania, Moldova, and Georgia, focusing on ISMS, penetration testing, and risk mitigation. Additionally, he developed and facilitated Tabletop Exercises (TTX) and gamified capacity-building programs, including at RSAC 2024. He also built key partnerships with national cybersecurity agencies and regulators to enhance resilience across the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe.

During 2025–2026, he served as Senior Cybersecurity Expert for North Macedonia and Montenegro within the eGA Cyber Balkans Project. In parallel, from March 2025, he has been serving as Cybersecurity Manager.
