Biljana Nastovska is a lawyer and gender equality specialist with 20 years of experience in human rights and gender policy at international and national levels. She holds a specialized diploma in Gender Studies and an MA in Political Studies. Throughout her career, she has worked on gender equality from multiple angles—both as a gender specialist and as a legal officer—with leading international organizations including IOM, UNDP, UNFPA, and the OSCE.
She served for seven years as Gender Adviser to the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, the largest OSCE field mission worldwide, leading the integration of gender equality across governance, security, and community protection portfolios. Her work is grounded in UN, EU, and Council of Europe standards and adopts a global security perspective, examining gender equality across emerging security domains, including cybersecurity. She focuses in particular on the gendered dimensions of digital threats, online safety, and violence against women in the digital space, advocating for inclusive, resilient, and rights-based digital and security ecosystems.
