Strategic Security Advisor | Digital Diplomacy | NATO-led Kosovo Force HQ Member, SWITZERLAND
Rea Tanner served as Chief Gender Advisor to the Commander of the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) from 2024 to 2025. She previously completed two field deployments, including as Team Leader in a Liaison Monitoring Team. From 2021 to 2024, she lived and worked in Israel, first at the Institute for National Security Studies and later at the Embassy of Switzerland.
She has worked at the Joint Operational Command of the Swiss Armed Forces as a Human Security Advisor and serves in the reserve force within the information operation corps. She currently works as a Research Associate focusing on social protection and AI’s impacts on poverty, economic inequality, and gender.
Rea holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations, Development and Democracy of the University of Zurich combined with one semester in Conflict Resolution and Mediation at the University of Tel Aviv.
