Peter Kirkov

Head of Audit and Compliance Serices | SoCyber, BULGARIA

Peter Kirkov is a cybersecurity executive, consultant, auditor, and educator with over 20 years of experience.

He has served as Bulgaria’s National Cybersecurity Coordinator, overseeing national incident response and cybersecurity policy, working on EU-wide cybersecurity networks CyCLONe and the EU CSIRT network, and supporting the development of NIS2, DORA, and emerging EU cyber regulations. He has extensive experience with GDPR and working on CRA compliance projects.

Peter has built and managed SOCs, a national CSIRT network, and national-level cyber resilience capabilities.
As a former Deloitte and IBM leader, he has extensive experience advising executives on translating cyber risk into business decisions and has delivered large-scale audits and security transformations.
He is passionate about building trust, digital sovereignty, and security by design in complex systems.
