Vice-President of the European Parliament
Victor Negrescu has been Vice-President of the European Parliament since 2024. He was the Parliament’s general rapporteur for the 2025 EU budget. From 2020 to 2024 he was Vice-Chair of the Committee on Culture and Education. Earlier, he was Romania’s Minister Delegate for European Affairs (2017–2018) and Vice-Rector of the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) in Bucharest (2018–2020).
He began his career as a journalist at Radio France Internationale. He is also a vice-president of the Party of European Socialists (PES).
