Bogdan Popescu was appointed Global Technology Services Manager at IBM Romania on March 2012.

Bogdan is the man who commited to drive HP Services to the 1st position in IT Services Romanian market. He did it. And 2009 is the third year in the raw where HP Services is ranked 1st. Now it’s time to drive IBM Services to the same market position.

With over 22 years of Information Technology experience starting from the PC desktop assembling and software development to the #1 position in market share for IT Services in Romania, Bogdan is always ready for pioneering and challenging projects with a restless approach for customer satisfaction and bottom line.

In 2005 and also in 2006 Bogdan was awarded “EMEA TSG Top Achievers Club” after “two years of superior drive for business, excellent operational control, and overall approach towards customers and peers”

Bogdan was leading in HP and inspiring an extraordinary skilled and talented team of 20+ professionals in order to win and deliver sound achievements for very first time in Romania: Transelectrica – first local outsourcing deal 1.5MUSD; P&G – first pay per page deal in EEM region; Blue Angel – first acquisition in EEM region.

Bogdan began his career with Compaq in 1999 as Professional Services Country Manager with the mission of developing some important system integration projects within Compaq Romania. In 2001 Bogdan was appointed as Global Services Country Manager. Prior to this job he was General Manager at Logimax Canada, where he started new line of business as first Microsoft Authorized Technical Education Center, Intel Authorized Solution Provider and VUE Testing Center in Romania.

Bogdan graduated an Executive MBA at ASEBUSS in cooperation with Kennesaw State University, Atlanta in September 2004 and he was ranked #3 in his class.
His background is in engineering at Polytechnic University Bucharest with a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications.
